Dermaplaning is an effective exfoliating treatment in which a scalpel is used to manually exfoliate dead skin cells from the face by gently shaving the top layer of the skin, the stratum corneum, dead skin layer, and vellus hair, otherwise known as 'peach fuzz'.

The buildup of dead skin and microscopic hairs can make your complexion appear dull, flaky, and can even cause breakouts due to clogged pores and hair follicles, which is why this form of mechanical exfoliation is essential for maintaining an even, healthy glow.

The process painlessly exfoliates the stratum corneum to stimulate cellular turnover with little to no downtime for the client, making it a great option for clients with sensitive skin and pregnant women who are looking for a deep exfoliation.
